Getting fit for your MultiSport Vacations doesn't have to be time consuming. If you don't have time to hit the trails wearing a 50 pound pack or bike and paddle as often as you need/want to, then all you need to do is include the best exercises for your activities in your weekly workouts.
If you'll be spending hours on a bike, hiking with a heavy pack, and/or paddling the most important exercises are those that strengthen your upper and lower back, core, and glutes. Be sure to includes all the ones listed below as well as some type of mobility and flexibility exercises too (more on flexibility and injury prevention coming soon).

Single leg squat from high bench Dumbbell or medicine ball saggital reach Inverted Pushups Suspension trainer letter drills (T Y W) Suspension trainer inverted rows and power pulls Mini-band lateral walks
Best Core & Balance Exercises
Stability ball back extensions Stability ball alternating single leg planks Valslide pikes, mountain climbers, and saw Heel walks Dumbbell Calf Raises
Best Endurance Exercises
Sprinting workouts (great for cardio endurance) Jump rope workouts (awesome for calves and ankle strength) Bodyweight interval training (great for muscular endurance)
The Weekend Warrior Workout in the video below is great for endurance, strength, and core stability and features some of the exercises listed here. Try it twice a week or combine it with other interval training workouts that include the exercises listed above:
