Longmire Overloook Mt. Rainier - 1420 ft. elevation gain in 1.7 miles plus 2.9 miles back on Wonderland trail. Very fun trail.
I really needed my TRX exercise straps while I was on vacation. My back, shoulders, and hips would've been much happier if I had been doing suspension trainer exercises after long hikes and even longer plane train and automobile trips (boats too).
I could have used my TRX at rest areas with big trees, on the Bainbridge Ferry or after my hikes on Rainier (pictured here).
Next week I'm off to southern CA and I'm taking my TRX suspension trainer with me. Below are two crazy trx workouts and exercises I plan on doing while away.
TRX Restorative Rest Area Workout Great workout to do after a long plane or car ride to bring the body back into alignment, boost energy, and prevent pain. Perform 15-20 reps of each exercise. Go from one to the next without rest then repeat two more times. Quick but very effective.
TRX W drill TRX Row to deep squat TRX Scapular pushup to overhead alternating lunge TRX Upper body pendulum
Add 4 min.of tabatas (jumping jacks, sprints, jog in place, burpees) after this circuit if you need more energy after too much sitting.
