Need weight loss workouts that work

Well, I am 16 years old, 5'5" and run cross-country and track, yet I still am 140 pounds and have 26% body fat. I think the problem is that I only run and don't do any strength training, but I don't know where to begin. The thing is there is so much information out there and I don't want to waste my time on some routine that's not even going to work since I'm short on time anyways. If you could help me, it would be greatly appreciated! Thank you, Kourtney
