Sexy Body Workouts: Lose The Fat & Keep Your Curves

by Alex
(St. Louis)

Since I've been a kid I've carried a little extra weight, and once I hit puberty, that weight carried over into other parts. Now, whenever I gain, it goes straight to my chest first, and when I lose, it's the first to go.

I've reached a point where I'm happy with everything on my body except my stomach, so I'd like to know how to lose my belly, and potentially lose a few inches, but maintain my bust size.

Height: 5'6"
Weight: 180
Waist: 40"
Bust: 40"
Cup: DD

Thanks!

sexy body workout plan

Hi Alex

This is an awesome question because this happens to so many women including women like me who are not born with curves of any kind.

After my son was born my body totally changed. I had never in my life been curvy so it was exciting but also frustrating. Like you I wanted to keep the curves and lose the gut.

Everything you read out there will tell you this can't be done but I'm proof that it can be done and I've seen a lot of women accomplish this with the right workout plan.

Below is one of the workouts that I've used with many of my female clients to burn fat and sculpt some nice curves.

I wrote a quick article for women who want to sculpt a perfect hourglass figure. It includes lots of helpful workout tips and tricks. Be sure to check that out for more hourglass body workout tips.

lose fat and tone up
by: Monica

There are lots of ways you can lose fat and tone up. Some people build lean muscle first then burn off excess bodyfat over an 8-12 week period to reveal a tight toned body.

Others lose a bunch of weight first then try to tone up what they end up with. Some lose fat and tone up simultaneously.

The first way can be very frustrating since what you get first is a bulky look and then 3 months later you get a leaner appearance. I've tried it this way and it's not a good experience.

The second way is the way most people who don't know what they are doing do it. They diet themselves to death and try to tone up flab. They have no lean muscle so they end up looking flabby (skinny fat).

The last way is the smart way to do it. This is how I did it in the very end when I still had another 15 lb. to lose. You build some lean muscle in any areas that you feel need it, reduce muscle in areas that you feel are too big and you also work on burning fat so when you reach the bodyfat percentage that you decide works for you what you end up with is a tight toned look and as much fat as you need for a few curves. Being toned is a product of having less bodyfat and just the right amount of lean muscle.

As far as losing your boobs goes, you can control this to some extent by controlling your bodyfat level. The cleaner your diet the leaner and the less curvy (ever notice how fitness competitors and athletes with very low bodyfat have no curves). If you want to keep your curves it's important to eat a balanced diet but not so clean that you lose all your bodyfat. It's a balance that you figure out as you go.

If you aim for 16-20% bodyfat you will probably get exactly where you want to be. Here's a link on how to measure bodyfat to help you decide what's right for you.

weight loss and butt workout tips
by: Monica

Hi and thanks for posting. Here's a list of lean body foods with meal ideas for you plus a quick guide on quick healthy meals.

A majority of the workouts here on the site will help you burn fat and lose those extra pounds fairly quickly but if you want to maintain your butt or even increase the size a bit the one thing you can do is work it a bit more often. When you train a muscle more often it tends to grow or not shrink when losing weight. Try a quick butt workout 2-3 times per week and see how your body responds. Be sure to switch out workouts every 4-6 weeks.

I just sent out a newsletter about this so be sure to subscribe for weekly tips if you need more help.
