What is the book about?

The book consists of 18 chapters. The first 50 pages or so serves largely as an introduction, telling you about the cookbook and the philosophies behind it, as well as how to prepare yourself before getting down to the real business of the recipes in chapter 6.
You will find recipes for all meals of the day: breakfast, lunch and dinner, and entrees. There are also recipes for specialty and side dishes, including salads, soups and stews, starters, healthy snacks and desserts.
If you love eating out or picking up fast food every now and then (don’t we all!), you’ll enjoy chapter 16, which is a short guide to fast food and eating out that will help you make more informed and healthy choices.
For a little extra guidance, the book contains a sample menu that offers you at least 3 different options for every meal, including snacks. It’s a great way to plan your eating during the day without feeling guilty.
Another handy tool in the book is the grocery list. This makes it easy to start right away, as you can just grab it and go shopping. The list contains all the foods you’ll need to follow the recipes in the Fun Fit Foodie Cookbook. This is a great time and trouble saver.
The recipes included in the book are not difficult to put together, but aren’t boring either. Some of them include Indian-Style Beef Kabobs, Protein-Packed Sweet Potato Hash and Apple & Walnut Endive Salad with Fresh Cranberry Dressing. Just the names already sound much more appetizing than what you’d expect to find in a weight loss cookbook.
Another great tool in the book is the bonus section. Here Jennifer provides you with a 7 day meal plan, including a breakdown of the amount of calories, fat, protein and carbs for every day. People love to find any reason to procrastinate or not start with a diet. This plan gives you absolutely no cause for excuses.

What we didn’t like
Some of the recipes include processed foods, which may not be to everyone’s tastes. This is a minor gripe though. Also, as is customary with JNL products, there are a lot of photos of her in the book and some promotion for her other products.
