I tried the TRX surf stronger workout today and it was so fun. I learned a few new suspension trainer exercises that really challenged my core and some great flexibility exercises that I'll be adding to my yoga workout video (up next week).
I've always wanted to learn how to surf but that's not the reason I downloaded this workout. I'm actually going to use this workout to improve my trapeze skills.
Much of what we do in aerial dance involves balancing on an small unstable surface while you're swinging or spinning around quickly (and at times uncontrollably). The surf stronger workout improves balance, flexibility, total body strength as well as core stability so you can flow and glide on an unstable surface with ease.
Watch highlights in the surf stronger workout video. My favorite exercise is the pop up with knee drive. Very fun exercise that will help me pop up into hip hang with more fluidity. The ocean scenes are awesome too!
